Governance Actions - View and vote

How to review and vote on active Governance Actions

To be able to vote, you will need to connect your wallet to GovTool beta, and register yourself as a dRep. Once you've done this, the dashboard will alter slightly to give you the option to view and vote on Governance Actions.

1. STEP 1 - Dashboard Click on the "View and vote" button to see on-chain Governance Actions. (You can also use the 'Governance actions' tab in sidebar)

   
2. STEP 2 - Governance Actions Page

   1. Search box, type any Governance Action ID

   2. Filters for Governance Actions. These will show Actions in the top categories. These are the same as the categories in (4) below.

   3. Sort order. Clicking this will allow you to sort Governance Actions by date, and by most votes

   4. Links to sort actions that you have not voted on as of yet ("To Vote"), and ones that you have voted on ("Voted")

   5. Button to click to see proposal and if desired, cast a vote on it.

   
3. STEP 3 - Governance Action Page To see the proposal details and vote, simply Click on "View Proposal details", you will be taken to a detail screen for a particular proposal.

   Voting is very simple:

   1. Choose which way you will vote (Yes, No, Abstain)

   2. Add extra context in the form of metadata

   3. Click "Vote"

   
4. STEP 4 - Wallet Confirmation You will be asked to sign and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

   
5. STEP 5 - In-progress state Your Vote transaction will be submitted to on-chain. The transaction could take a few seconds or minutes to be fully completed. An in-progress state will be shown to keep track of progresses.

   
6. STEP 6 - Vote fully submitted Once the transaction it's completed, the page will refresh automatically. You have now voted on this Governance Action.
